Bringing an idea to light

I've started some research into the ways I could expand my paintings onto a larger and more interesting scale. Working as a lighting technician at a theatre for two years has inspired me to look at the use of light in relation to architecture. The images below are just a few things that caught my eye and in some way represent my idea. By incorporating light into a raised relief painting I think I could bring it to life more and give it a realistic feel. The album cover is my favorite image due to the stark contrast the windows light gives the building.
